Internet & Television Services

Yes! Any Leisure World resident with an existing Internet connection can subscribe to our video services!

Sign Up now for service planned to begin in March 2023. Use the Sign-Up button on the website to select your services now, and we will inform you when services are ready to be started.

You can choose self-installation or have one of our technicians visit your unit, take care of the installation, and show you our service!

Sign-up for video services is now available for service beginning March 2023. Internet and Voice will be available later this year to mutuals who have access to their mutual property. This is currently Mutuals 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, and 17.

The Interact Solutions service will be as early as March 2023. We will be providing more information via the Leisure World Newsletter and emails to anyone that has registered with us here on the website.

Interact is a property-wide wireless Internet solution. You do not need any special equipment for Internet services. When you sign up for Interact’s service, once it has been installed and made available within your Mutual and building, your Internet Access will become immediately available upon signup. There are no self-install kits, no routers to install etc.  Also, we have Best Buy Geek Squad available to assist in providing each Resident with on-site support for converting your devices over to the new Interact Wi-Fi Internet service.  

We will coordinate appointments with the Best Buy Geek Squad to assist each resident in converting from their current Internet provider.   In the event that you require a wired Internet connection, Interact can provide options that will meet your needs. 

Interact’s’ telev8 streaming television’ application can be downloaded onto many streaming devices including some SmartTVs and most popular streaming devices.  We currently support Amazon FireTV, Android TV, Apple iOS, and tvOS as well as Samsung Tizen. Most Apple and Android mobile devices are also supported

Interact offers a set-top box for purchase of $99 or billed monthly for 24 months. This is a great solution for residents that want the simplicity of a device that closely matches their current set-top box. This box is also fully managed and monitored by Interact for any issues with service. The telev8 streamer will automatically launch to your television programming, offering customized remote control features that are intuitive and easy to use.

Let us know the channel you are looking for!  There may be television channels that are not part of Interacts current Basic, Basic+, and Expanded channel lineups. Our goal is to offer content and channels that our customers appreciate and value.

We are continuing to add channels and services and welcome inquiries via email or to our call center for new channels and offerings our customers are looking for.

No, there is no obligation for any resident to subscribe to Interact services. Leisure World Seal Beach has selected Interact as your bulk television provider which has enabled Interact to contract with programmers and broadcasters to provide each resident of Leisure World with programming at a significant discount.  The community has committed to a minimum of 70% of residents subscribing to keep this discounted programming pricing. Should we not reach that amount, there may be a nominal increase in subscriber cost.

No, you are not required to purchase Interact Internet if all you want is Internet Television programming.

We offer television service without the need for an Internet subscription. Please note that other services, such as Netflix, will not work over the Interact Television connection unless Interact Internet service is subscribed to.

The timing and availability of Interact’s Internet and Television are currently being planned. This timeline will be shared with residents as it is formalized.

When services are available, we will schedule a time to help migrate your devices from your current provider to Interact. We have reserved 50 minutes of assistance for each new customer to help with connecting your smart devices, TVs, and printers – up to (5) devices. You will not need to call support as Best Buy’s Geek Squad will be there in person to get you connected!

Customers access the Internet wirelessly and we offer the ability to have a wired connector installed inside your unit.

We install a "community Wi-Fi" with each subscriber having their own unique login credentials providing secure access. The access utilizes Wi-Fi security including WPA2 and WPA3, for secure and encrypted access anywhere within Leisure World Interact is providing service.

Interact utilizes property-wide managed Internet that allows residents to create their own Personal Area Network (PAN) utilizing a unique password. Simply connect to the ‘Leisure World’ Wi-Fi identifier (SSID) and access your private Internet network anywhere there is Wi-Fi coverage.   Residents will be able to roam throughout their unit as well as other residents’ units or clubhouses and still be connected to their own secure network. 

We utilize a virtual router that creates this private network providing each resident with a secure and completely isolated network from other residents on the Leisure World Wi-Fi network. The security and equipment are enterprise-grade and superior when comparing residential service provider Wi-Fi offerings. Compared with consumer-grade equipment, enterprise-grade is more flexible, reliable, and customizable.

 

Interact will provide landline phone service through our telecom partner with options to retain your current phone number and use the existing landline phone connections you use today. You also have the option to stay with your current provider and service.

There are also multiple Internet-based voice providers which operate reliably over the Interact Internet service should you wish to subscribe to them.

Yes, once you enable Wi-Fi calling on your mobile device, your calls will connect through the wireless network while in your unit and areas across the property. This will improve areas where cellular coverage is poor. Our solution prioritizes your voice calls to carrier-specific gateways (ePDG), allowing a viable option to augment cellular coverage. All Wi-Fi calling is encrypted end-to-end between your mobile device and the carrier. Consult your mobile provider and device documentation for setting up Wi-Fi calling and e911 services.
